Potential of a 231 v6

how many HP does this engine put out stock? would it be possible to put it to about 300 or so?
engine specs are 3.8L 231 V6 out of an oldsmobile cutlass

i dont want it to be a rice rocket i just want to beable to cruise with the ocassional race... and it's not really happening with the current stuff. and its my first car...... and i wont have one untill AFTER college 6-8 years...
so i might as well get what i can out of the rebuilt engine ...

and i dont want a car that looks like all the rest. i want something different... only 3 Cutlass'es in my town

there is no way whatsoever..unless you get a set of custom pistons, rods, connectign rods, fuel rail , bigger injectors, head work, engine management and whoel lot of nitrous..if its not even fuel injected then yoru screwed even more..engine swap dude

get the gtp supercharger...nice pulley...exhaust/ intake and a nice chip u might be around 300...the 3.8 with just the s/c puts out 240

Find a junkyard 350 and do it to the nuts. Head, cams, bottom end, the whole deal. Will be far cheaper than trying to squeeze any amount of power out of the V6.
