Default Chinese Clone Phones - anyone have experience/insight?

    Hey guys

I'm always looking at alternative and etc.

While searching for a new phone, I came across some chinese clones of the blackberry pearl, htc touch,.. various grades of the Iphone (some poor, some really good)

I'm just looking for some feed back from anyone who may have experience with some of those clone phones

    Quality, functionality and etc.

Personally, I'm not into an iphone or an Iclone,.. I would prefer something that is windows based

I knew quite a few people using clones of various htc phones. They were all labeled dopodo instead of dopod which was funny and they even had a little windows mobile sticker but they don't run windows mobile, just some generic OS. For the most part everybody who had them really liked them.

I don't know how well 3rd party applications can run on them, but for normal stuff like phone/email/calendar they worked OK and they lasted for quite a long time. I knew a guy who bought over 10 of them and gave them away to friends/family and after a year all of them are still functioning.

The outside of the phone feels real and nice but I never bothered to play around with the software.

this is one of the websites I had stumbled upon

    https://www.fastcardtech.ca/index.php

Actually it's the only website I found,.. the rest were just individuals selling clones

I would stay away from them as they tend to work for a couple of months and then phone dies for whatever reason, a total waste of money if you ask me.

    Jay,

Are you looking for a phone that has infared for Ekey???
Also, things like the iphone are not really for business, more pleasure.

    Haha

For $140, I would buy one just for a few laughs.

I'm not too concerned about infrared

more along the lines of internet access either 3g or wifi and hopefully being able to sync with my dredded vista.

on that site there is an i-clone on windows ppc 6.0

    seems quite interesting
