Default Chin Spoiler Repair Advice Needed

Unfortunately today I took a pretty good hit from a rock on deerfoot (suprise suprise). How hard would it be to repair my fiberglass (black gelcoat) chin spoiler myself? Is it worth the hassle or should I take it to a body shop for repair?

Here's a pic of the damage

Dude don't fuckin worry about that shit, i garuntee your going to get another one. Or just get a black maker and color it in...either way its not worth it to go to a body shop for that.

I've already done that a few times on the tiny ones. But this one is to big to hide. Normally I would say fuck it but this annoys me lol. Its the end of the season so I'll be parking the car anyway and I've taken the lip off..

I'm sure a little bondo, some sanding, and a can of black spray paint would go a long way to cleaning it up.

probably. it'd definately be cheaper than a body shop. worst case scenario if the colors are too mismatched you can just repaint the remainder of the lip with the same black to make it match

If you bondo it your gonna lose the flex in that area tho.
So if it ever gets bent a bit the bondo will just crack.

I dont know much about that, but what about that fiberglass repair kit they sell at like Canadian tire?
Its like sheets and you like resin it to repair the damage.
