connecting to internet on sony vaio laptop

as title states, i can't connect to my internet with the sony laptop. i have telus dsl it came with the router up to 4 conections but for some reason i can conect to the internet with another other laptop but sony. i brought the laptop to my g/f, she has shaw and it connected fine so im kinda lost. any adice would be great thanks

heres wat i get when try to connect to my telus network

xxx - computer -- >yellow hazzrad sign --> Unidentified network -- X ---> internet

undentified network ( public network )

Access ---- > Limited connectivity

Connection --- > Wireless network connection ( xxx )

Singal Strenght --- > Excelllent

Do you have Norton Antivirus or other Symantec application installed?

it has windows vista , it doesn't have Norton Antivirus but it has Windows Live One Care. i try to set firewall to low but taht didn't work either.
