    Default FREE texting FROM rogers

    hey guys. it's back!

    remember this hofo thread?
    http://howardforums.com/showthread.p...&page=13&pp=16

before it was to change the service center number to end in 500 instead of 300
now there's the news that it's 310 you change it to

i've PERSONALLY tried this on my family of paygo phones (4)
    balance remains
    so text away. text away!
    *rogers/rogers and rogers/fido
for telus/bell/whatnot it'll SAY it sent but doesn't get received
i personally don't have a fido phone so i couldn't tell you if it works for fido/rogers or fido/fido

just to repeat, change the service number to end in 310 instead of 300

I just checked on my Fido phone and the first 7 numbers of the service centre number listed on my phone isn't what's listed on the OP of the posted thread. Anyone else on Fido wanna chime in? Does this only work on BBs?

yea the original service number should be different
i think you just put in the WHOLE rogers number with 310 ending and it should still go
don't quote me on that though

I just tried this, but can't confirm that it works. I tried the previous number 500 and the message failed to send. I had to switched to my sony just so I can check that the number is still 310 we'll see.

Anybody know the procedure to change the number in an iPhone 3G? They post one sequence of numbers in there, but it seems like there is a different number for each location, plus I'd like to get the old number before changing it

    *EDIT* I'm stupid
*#5005*7672# to get your old number
    ##5005*7672# to wipe it
**5005*7672#nnnnnnnnnnnnnnn# to enter the new number
