When my friend removed the coil over from the right side of the vehicle, he also removed the covering inside the wheel well and the air baffle.
Last night it was raining (2 am) and I did not intentionally go through any puddles but I guess some rain must have kicked up into the air filter.
When I was on a nice straight road I tried going to 6000 rpm in 2nd gear and the car wouldn't allow me to go past 5500. It was then idling funny.
This morning I took out the air filter and a 1/3 of it was wet. I removed the air filter and turned on the car. It goes to around 1100 rpm after starting then when it starts to drop it just starts to sputter and around 500 rpm it just dies. If I rev it up it is fine though.
Also when I turned the car on and it was running I heard a bit of clicking. I turned it off for now.
This worries me. It just seems like the car is not idling.
Can someone please recommend what my first step should be to get back to normal? The car is a 2000 Subaru Legacy B4 RSK.
Thaaaanks.
