business casual is like shirt/dresspants don't really have to wear tie but wahtever.
i went to one. the testing is like 2 hours long i think. i don't really remember.
the tests like go up to 400 questions if i remember haha.
but you gotta think fast and be accurate.
so did u get the job??
what happens after the testing??
the tests are general aptitude and iq tests as well as some comprehension and grammar tests.
after you pass the tests telus will call you back in a few days (the called me back 4 hours after i left) for and interview.
in the interview you basicly just have to demonstrate your sales and customer skills thru role playing with a hiring manager.
once all is said and done you play the waiting game while telus head office in BC calls your references and then gives the office the ok to hire you.
Good luck.
Its idiot testing, and believe me it doesn't weed all of em out!!! I saw people sleeping through training classes, couldnt put two sentences together in a conversation and worse.
My experiences at Telus were for the most part OK, but I'm not a fan of telemarketing, and thats all thier outbound sales position is.
i worked their for 2 months. I made my comission targets. But couldnt take it anymore after that. You gotta be happy doing what you do, and it just didnt seem worth it for all the bullshit you gotta deal with being a telemarketer... but you might like it who knows
"She takes premium dude! PREMIUM!!! DUDE!!!!"
The testing is very very easy...it just to see if your not a village idiot...what position is it for
Dress business casual.
However the test is a joke...
Its basically an entertaining psychological profile.
it was for a call centre position
outbound or inbound
i believe outbound. my gf just finished her interview with them. i'm still waiting to get called back for an interview (crossing finger)
outbound is good commision..if you can sell the interview is easy...i've been with telus for nearly 5 years now
Fuck Baman outbound sucks ass and you know it!!! Why else did you switch depts?Originally posted by desipwr

Blue Pumpkin is EVIL!!!!!
I am the blue pumpkin god..i shift trade everything..away...and get some sweet 7-3's with weekends off
Do they still make you watch that video when you work their i-net helpdesk?
the test in general was easy. the first 3 or 4 series of questions are timed and the 400 MC have no time limit. i got the job and finished the training and passed but then i was laid off. our work was based on contract of others .they wanted me to transfer to other dept. but i am still in school so i never accepted the offer.
i worked for TELUS as an DA operator.
good benefits 30% off all telus services and company shares great company to work for
