As some have heard, Indian Motorcycle has let go it's 380 workers, and shut it's doors at the factory in Gilroy California. As an investment deal fell through, thus causing the actions taken on Friday of last week.
I am the Indian Dealer here in Calgary. Now, as we have not been told what is to happen to the company in the long run for either re-opening in a new state, or completely staying finished. I would like to say for now it is business as usual for my store, but if they do not re-open the factory, the bikes on my floor will be INSTANT COLLECTORS ITEMS. As for right now my prices stay the same, as we buy the bikes outright and are not financed through the factory.
I have only 4 bikes left right now. 2, 2002 Indian Scouts, 1 2003 Indian Chief Vintage, and 1 2003 Indian Spirit Roadmaster. The two bikes I unloaded on Friday just sold on Tuesday.
I will obviously be keeping an ear open for what is to happen to the second go around for Americas First Motorcycle, and Americas first V-Twin Motorcycle. I would hate to see them go, but it is beneficial to some if they do. Those being Indian Motorcycle Owners. Stop by and have a look at ***********.
Thanks
