    Heh heh, at the Okotoks Field House, no weather! It's warm & dry inside

    I do 7 flights @ 24 stairs per flight, this is 168 stairs which is approximately the same as one ascent of McHugh Bluff (167 stairs).

    Today I did another 70 flights at Okotoks, time 29:23.8. Jogged first & last 2 flights.
    Heart rate came out at about 33 beats in 10 seconds, or pretty much 200 bpm.
    WHEW!!
    I had to walk that one off let me tell ya ha ha

    I signed up for a 3-visit trial to Goodlife Fitness, they had a "stairmaster" machine (basically an escalator going downwards).
    I got 80 floors in a time of 24:25 today, with approximately 21 to 22 stairs per "floor". If I call it 21 that's 1680 stairs again. Woo hoo!
    Well first of all I slaughtered the 30 minute time limit, although this machine doesn't have a function to climb back down. You only climb up.
    So realistically this isn't that great of a time, except for one little thing, it was a complete non-stop effort. I've done the Calgary tower in the past but had to stop & rest more than a few times on the way up, but this time on the stairmaster machine, I was able to climb over 2x the number of stairs of the Calgary Tower without any rest break. Well I did slow it down to level 3 which was allegedly 2.4 floors per minute (2.4 x 21 = 50 stairs per minute, or more than 1 second per stair). I admit: that's pretty dang slow.
    So I'm proud, even though I know you'd have to climb stairs significantly faster to do McHugh 10x in 24:25, and I cannot go that fast. Nevertheless: be proud of what you CAN do.
