There are Black & Decker 6 cup (cooked) rice cookers with vegetable steamers at Cdn tire for 10 bucks. Just so you know.

Rice cooker
IMHO, Only Japanese knows how to build good rice cooker and cook it right. Tiger, Panasonic and Zojirushi are the 3 top brands in Japan.
