Why would one require a lifelike penis to do this for them? If you're being drug tested, they don't actually WATCH you piss in a cup do they?

They can. When I worked seismic I was tested several times. Once I caught the guy trying to look, and told him if he kept staring, I'd piss all over his leg, so he'd be sure it was my urine.

He stopped looking.

Many employment contracts have terms that allow it though, which you agree to when you get hired.

Yes they do. I have competed in judo for years and every time they randomly drug tested me or anyone else i know they stood right beside me and watched.

Saying this I have also been drug tested several times at work and i did it in the privacy of a bathroom.

I guess it depends on how serious they are on wanting people not to take drugs. If its used to cheat in a sport and makes the difference between 1st and 2nd place, then they are dead serious. If a company is desperate for workers but is legally required to check for drugs, then they are not so serious.
