So true though. So true. I find it very strange how many people would rather ask a question on Beyond rather than just going to the source. How these people survived before the internet...

    I'm looking online...google search...
emailed them already. waiting on a response.

thought it may be quicker if someone had a bookmark already on their desktop with a cad library or even have done one recently since we are all in the same industry. I know I have a huge library of autocad models just not this specific ET valves!

beyond used to be a place where you can just go and post question, ask for help. these days everything is turning into a bitch fest, who has the bigger dick, whose the biggest baller, if Toma is valuable to beyond etc lol

I really started to believe that people in leaning times, this would for people to sharpen their pencils and become better employees. I was wrong.

The engineers/PM's I am dealing with now suck harder then before. Maybe because they are all new grad hires that are lazy/deer in the headlights.

You earn the right to waste time & procrastinate. Not by years put in, but by projects completed. A funny thing happens, as you work harder and get faster, you take on more responsibility.

I have little patience for idiots who wait for spoon feeding.

If I model something, I am not giving it to you for free. Especially if I am not the distributor.

What you are saying doesnt make sense.

I have had accounts here since 02. You lie!!!!!

Nobody is giving up their hardwork for free, or just because.

but why start from scratch when there is already a template, or someone that has already done one? lol I honestly thought someone would just readily have it or know where the CAD library is.

I mean if someone asked me for one of my models I done already i'll just forward it over np...I don't understand how this is spoon feed? isn't it just more efficient? team work? help each other out, since we all the member of the beyond community?

reminds me of the girl that sits besides me, hogs everything, doesn't share, she creates all these custom user objects for our company all the time, and saves them onto her desktop and not the company public drive.

so everyone else is creating the same custom object and saving it on their desktop. contractors love it, more hours, more work but if we aren't efficient we will lose the work to a more efficient company...

    sigh..........

I also dont "own" my drawings or anything I produce at work. I am not a contractor. I can't and wont give you my .3ds or .dwg's without a PO and a signed NDA contract. Its fairly well described in my employment contract, likely yours as well.

What net benefit is there for me to give up my hardwork, for free, with the added risk of me losing my job?

I didnt team share my degree. Maybe you did.

Max_boost I came in to eat at your restaurant not to long ago with some work colleagues and another beyonder.

    You served us.

You've met me at driven. I dont think you've connected the dots yet though

Off current topic but we upgraded to Auto-cad R2015....no more menus pull downs just that fucking ribbon. I can't find shit and feel like I'm a rookie.

Add the toolbars using Customize User Interface:
    1. Open the Customize User Interface dialog box.(CUI)
    2. Select the desired workspace or create a new one.
    3. Use the plus symbol to open the Toolbars tree in the left window.
    4. Drag the toolbars you want to the toolbars tree in the right window.
    5. Click Apply and then click OK to close the configuration editor.

Kind of hoping I get to stay on where I am now. I am working 3 days a week and has been pretty awesome if I'm honest. I really wouldn't mind doing this from now on.

I don't know if there will be much for me by the end of October though. Could be looking for work again after that.
I'm busy, my group is busy. but there is still layoffs in the company. we "hired" 3 contractors last month....its complicated lol

theres so much rumors out there, ever week its a new one.

they said we will be busy until end of q1 next year (which really doesn't affect me lol since I'm on mat leave next month)

    good luck!

I have the tool bars...just not the pull down menus which I liked a lot. I just don't like change when it comes to my set up. You should have seen how long I held on to my tablet back in the day.

command line: MENUBAR and change the setting to 1 haha that happens to everyone upgrading.

R154, you're a twat, i share all my stuff with people i know. There are masses of blocks/drawings/models across the internet in libraries and on forums. She wasn't asking for something complicated.

What's the best way to learn LISP programming? I've asked my senior tech and he won't teach me. Not because he doesn't want to, but he's being creating LISP routine for many years so he doesn't know how to teach anyone from scratch.
