just had some Chianti's take out tonight, from the MacLeod location. I've been going to Chianti's since about 2003 on cheap pasta nights, which are Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. It used to be $6 for all their pasta dishes, but now it's $7. It's still a GREAT deal, especially considreing the quality of the food.
I used to go to the location on 17th Ave, but since moving to the south, been going to the MacLeod locatoin. I've also been to the location far in the NW (where ever it is, crowfoot or something).
The food is always great (especially for the price), but i've noticed that the preparation teks (i.e. chopping veggies, sausages, bread types, etc) vary by location and time. this is good evidence that the food is fresh, and cooked on site instead of being cut out of a frozen bag , heated, and assembeled like you would expect from somewhere like the olive garden. when you dine in, they give you free warm bread with lots of packs of whipped butter (mmm... butter, i use like 4 or 5 packs!!!), but the nice thing is they also give you bread with take out. tonight i made a spaghetti sandwich with my bread, before digging in to the main plate LOLOLOL
i usually get the linguini kitsalano. although i've had one of the gniochiis and also the spaghetti and meatballs... always go back to the kitsalano cause i love those dope italian sausages, green peppers, and chunky shrooms in marinara. usually it's on linguini, but tonight it was accidentally served on spaghetiini, which was even better so i think i'll ask for it prepared that way next time.
anyhow, just got done with a pretty good take out dinner that cost us under $20 for two dope meals.... just wanted to let yall know, and see if anyone has any comments.
peace out honx
