I'm looking to get a nice watch for around $250-500.
I want something that looks clean and is reliable.
I am not too familiar with watches so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

seriously
for something like this
i wouldn't be asking what to recommend
i'd be asking what's NOT recommended
and then you're set
because you buy the watch for YOURSELF because YOU like the way it looks and YOU wear it
just my $0.02
so anywhooo
i wouldn't recommend
http://www.casio.com/products/Timepi...t/AQ160WD-1BV/
i know now it's FAR from your price range
but i picked this up like 6 years ago when it cost me 140ish
i wouldn't recommend it just cuz the steel is pretty scratch-prone
and the rim on the glass is coated plastic that's in the process of fading.
oh. and the hands on the analog are a pain the ass to adjust
because it's controlled digitally by the buttons. there's no knbby thing. so you hold the button and it runs a minute at a time. so everytime daylight savings ends and i have to go back an hour. i have to hold the button and let the hand run around 11 times.

All depends on your style of watch. Throw up a picture of something you like and we can help you better.

I'm actually leaning towards a Seiko or a Citizen watch.
They are affordable and they seem to be reliable watches.
I think I like something like this:

Simple watch, looks clean - I don't need too many functions.
Also, I don't know too much about kinetic watches, how reliable are they in keeping time?
Cause my dad had a Seiko kinetic watch that he got a few years back and it seemed to stop sometimes at night.
Maybe it was because he wasn't moving around enough during the day? I'm not sure.
ive had a citizen eco-drive for just over a year now its a great watch I always get compliments on it, people are suprised to see that its a citizen most of the time. it was just a little over $500 but im sure theres a bunch of sales going on right now
