    Default Question for filipinos (filipinas preferably)

    Its my gf birthday soon and that means I gotta buy presents. Im gonna buy her something nice (clothes, bla bla bla), but I was also wondering since she is (half) filipino if there was a suitable side gift that she would (culturally) appreciate. You know, bring back some nostalgia or some cultural pride stuff...

    So if anyone has any ideas on where to purchase such items and what kind of stuff i could buy that would be great.

    I bought my Filipina girlfriend one of those shirts that said "Adobo" with a chicken-ized Adidas logo. She thought that was pretty cute - but $15 is a pretty cheap Christmas present.

    Anything pineapple or coconut flavored?

    Make her breakfast! There's this dish they have where they cook plantains (bananas would work fine in a pinch but they don't hold their shape as well) in brown sugar and butter and wrap it in some sort of tortilla type thing and top it off with some whipped cream.
