Mercedes reliability is NOT worse than Audi.
Either way you are getting a car with full warranty. I do prefer the audi interior but sedan to sedan exteriors, the C has much better lines.
I LOVE the A5 though.

agreed. The new Benz sedans have such beautiful lines. I don't see one car that compares like them tbh.Originally posted by ZorroAMG

A4 while bigger, is too bland compare to C. The interior is same as A5 which is very good.Originally posted by C4S

When I talked to the dealer, it's around Sep. 6 months for A5 3.2 and a year for S5.Originally posted by tragik
now... 6 month wait for A5?! should i wait for '10 then???? or perhaps the lines will even be longer by then. i will phone in and confirm this...
I don't know if the economy downturn will free up some stock ever since but I never see any A5/S5 on the lot of either dealership in town.

i never understood the "shortage" of cars, does audi not want to make any money??
That's actually true in the states too. Audi drivers here drive like douches....until their car hits 100k then it blows upOriginally posted by jibber
I would pick the Merc, not because I own a car made by Mercedes, but because it seems to be the opinion overseas (Top Gear) that douchebag drivers have moved from driving BMWs to driving Audis.
My family has all BMW's I am the black sheep with the lone Audi.
I bought the Audi because I found it to be luxurous without the in your face "I have a German luxury car". Mercedes, although nice, I find to be a little too showy for my tastes.
I like having a car that lots of people don't know what it is. Even in the smallest African country people know what a BMW and MB is. Not saying the MB isn't a good car, I just think too many people buy them for the silver star on the hood.

Dear God, my dream cari recently purchased an 09 A3 S-line 2.0T with quattro
When did the 2.0T start coming with quattro? I'd get the Audi but both are good cars. The A5 is gorgeous.

Go with the C.
The C will be about $5k cheaper compared the A5 when both cars are fully optioned out, and you'll have 2 extra doors. You will probably save even more now that the car industry is in the shitter.
Wait until MY10 if you can, that's what I'm doing. The rumors are that a new ~300hp 3.5L V6 will debut in the new E-class which the C-class will surely get.

I like the A3 as well just not my dream car.
I own a Merc C-230 4 matic and I figure it's close enough to the C350 you're looking at. Been driving it around for about 6 months now. A really enjoyable drive whenever I go out and the sound system makes it that much better.
Also have been driving it around in the winter and it's pretty reliable when it comes to the breaks and handling.
I'd recommend the C-class.
Buy it at the end of the month of which ever month you get it at.
The dealership threw in the Ipod integration free for me, who knows you might be able to get a deal too.
Funny you ask, yes, I do. Do you have a problem with that? Actually, I don't. I dream about turbo firefly's that make 200+whp. But hey, to each their own If I had the kind of cash to buy a nice entry level luxry-esque car, an A3 would be it. Too bad I realized you can only get 2.0T quattro with the autotragicOriginally posted by rizfarmer
