really need help... please

I spent hours yesterday trying to figure out how to transfer files from a portable storing device to this computer. (from windows 2000 to vista.)

I downloaded like 4 different software programs and nothing helped.

How do i transfer these bfk files????

Do you have a machine that has 2000 on it and an internet connection? If so, upload the files to a file hosting website and just download them on to vista. That's a quick way to do it.

Hell, depending on the size of the files, you can use my FTP server as long as they don't stay there for more than a day or two.
