Asking for help from my fellow Beyonders.

I'd like to think I'm a generally helpful and contributing member on Beyond. And now I'm asking for your help in return...

I am going to my hometown of Kamloops for Christmas on Tuesday. But here's the problem....

My check engine light has been coming on. It's throwing a code for the rear O2 sensor. So... who the hell cares right? Well, in Toyota's infinite wisdom they decided to automatically turn off traction control and stability control when the CEL is on. As one might imagine, I'd really prefer to have it working for my 7 hour trip... especially if roads are anything like they are in Calgary.

So is there anyone on here willing to lend me their garage for half an hour? Or, if possible, a pit? I'm in the NE, so anything in this area would be awesome... but at this point I'm not that picky. I just can't seem to find a flat non-icy surface anywhere, and this -30 degree weather is hardly appropriate for doing such repairs if avoidable....

if you come down to autovalue on 32nd i could clear the code for you free of charge and when the cel is gone, your tcs and stm should be turned back on

if you have no other options then you have this one.

in the condos on tarawood lane n.e they have garages that are used for trash. the garbage guys wheel the dumpsters out to unload them then wheel them back in. the garages are never locked.

EK2.0 and TikTok were nice enough to offer me options, so I think I'm covered. Though I gotta respond to some of these...

jdm: Thanks. Clearing it is not the problem.... it always comes back on inside 2-3 hours of driving.

Yue: Thanks for the tip. I was hoping to find a place where I can close the door and hopefully get a bit of heat. It's freakin cold out there!

So, it appears that I DO have options for a flat space. (thank you thank you.) But if anyone has somewhere heated and/or a pit, I'd still love to hear from ya.

Besides Monday during the day, I'm 100% flexible for times.
