People are retards... I pulled a couple ppl out of the ditch on the way to calgary a couple weeks ago, and despite a few rigs on the side of the road with 4 ways on, people neither slow down or even go to the far lane to give you some room.

CITYBEAT - CITY OF CALGARY PRESS RELEASE
    -----------------------------------------------------------------

On January 10, 2009, just after 0700 hrs, a southbound
vehicle lost control and ended up in the ditch. The driver,
a male, summoned his wife and 21 year old son to assist him.

The wife and son arrived in a Dodge Caravan and parked on the
edge of the road facing southbound to provide assistance.
Another vehicle also stopped to render aid and parked just in
front of the Dodge Caravan. The 21 year old son was standing
at the rear of the Caravan as a southbound Ford F250
    approached the scene.

The F250 struck the rear of the Caravan, crushing the 21 year
old son between the two vehicles. Several other vehicles
also became involved after the fact. The 21 year old son was
pronouced deceased at the scene by EMS. Alcohol and poor
road conditions are beleived to be factors in this collision.

Charges are pending against the 28 year driver of the F250.

Not that hard to believe though, throw in a heavy night of drinking with only a few hours sleep... You may wake up not feeling "drunk"...but could probably still blow over...

Saw this on the news last night...

Thoughts and prayers go out to the family...I can't even imagine having to see a family member or friend pass away in those circumstances...

I can't even count how many times I would pick the gf up at Belgo late at night and on the way home to Midnapore, we would end up following/calling in a drunk driver... way to many times.

Yeah, it's so fucking pithetic. I went to cowboys last night and these two chicks parked outside and were drinking in her mustang. I saw both girls in the club just getting loosered, and when we left the club the mustang was gone .. Should of slashed her tires and done the streets a favor.

Yes, because that was exactly what I had planned on doing. I just didn't get the chance because the car was gone by the time i left.

Drunk drivers disgust me. So do their friends who knowingly let them get into a car when they're too intoxicated to drive. Ignorance continues to take lives, it's such a waste.
