    Deadlifts and Rack Deadlifts.

When you can do 405lbs x 10 deadlifts then start working on trap isolation exercises.

Wide Pull Ups for Lats. If you can't do Wide Pull Ups, do negatives until you can.

I would agree with Oz on deads and add cleans for traps and chins for lats

Deadlifts/Rackpulls for back thickness, and lat pulldowns/pullup's for width.

Does any know the best way to build upper lats and the best way to lengthen the lats?

Stolen from another post... but funny just as well.

There are four exercises for building your lats (according to Jim)—dumbbell rows, chin-ups, dumbbell rows, and chin-ups.
