Fiat + Chrysler Merger

The terms of the deal do not require Fiat to pay any cash to Chrysler right away. Instead, Fiat will receive equity in Chrysler for investments it will make in retooling a Chrysler plant to produce Fiat models for the US market.

Hmmm, Fiat models for the US market? I wonder how this will pan out and how well the re-badged Fiats will sell. Could be interesting because Chrysler really has no small fuel efficient cars right now. Thoughts?

Should have thought of this a long time ago, when everyone else was starting to develop the econo cars and they said "nah, we don't need to do that" now they have to buy the technology to try and catch up.

I hope they go under.

One of the best cars I ever owned was a 1976 Alfetta, (except for the rust - Italian steel sucks balls)
