No surprise to see Heath on there, however Robert Downey Jr. being nominated is wicked
    In reference to Rob Anders:

Heath technically was a supporting actor but it would seem more fitting if he was in the leading role category.

Fucking RIGHT, Penn and Rourke. Mickey was PHENOMENAL in the Wrestler and Milk was fantastic too.

Here are my predictions, cut and paste and post yours!

    Lead Actor: Rourke

Sup Actor: Ledger (If they go posthumous) RDJ if not

Lead Actress:Haven't seen any of these movies but Meryl FTMFW, always.

Sup Actress: Only saw Wrestler but I know Taraji P. Henson is amazing.

    Animated: Wall-E

    Art Direction: Dark Knight

    Cinematography: Slumdog

    Director: Slumdog Millionaire

    Costume: Milk

    Music: Slumdog

    Best Picture: Slumdog

Visual Effects: Dark Knight (sooo pulling for IronMan though )

    Writing: Milk

Not joking at all. I thought the movie was some of the worst shit I'd ever seen. Right up there with Pineapple Express...

Jlude, the nomination isn't for the movie, the writing or the other actors. RDJ was GREAT in the role, plain and simple, enjoying the movie or not...

I was upset not to see Mark nominated for anything.

He worked very hard as a magician in the Moosehead beer commercial.

Does anyone know how he made that jacket disappear so well?

I'm not surprised. The Academy Awards are more about the artsy side, which inherently handicaps the blockbuster movies.

didnt even know it was RDJ until someone told me.

I heard Slumdog was great, planning to watch it this weekend.
TDK is overrated anyway except Heath, hope he wins.

The fact that a crap movie like The Dark Knight is not on the best picture list is proof that there is a God :p

Lead Actor: Brad Pitt....Rourke if not. I like Brad though, and the movie was good. I liked The Visitor a lot though so it's nice to see Richard Jenkins nominated.

Sup Actor: Ledger (I havent seen Milk or Doubt)

Lead Actress: Haven't seen any of these movies. I heard Changeling was good though.

    Sup Actress: Taraji P. Henson

    Animated: Wall-E

Art Direction: Benjamin Button, if not then DK

    Cinematography: Slumdog Millionaire

    Director: Slumdog Millionaire

    Costume: No Idea

    Editing: Slumdog Millionaire

    Music: Slumdog Millionaire

Best Picture: Slumdog Millionaire or Benjamin Button

    Visual Effects: Benjamin Button

Writing: Benjamin Button or Slumdog again..
