My friend got an impark ticket today. Does she need to pay? In the past, you could safely ignore them, but I remember talk of the city selling us out to impark.

Yes, they send them to a collection agency. However, between these two parties, one must be able to pull your info from your license plate # - which almost brings me back to one of my original questions of "Can they actually get your personal info based on your license plate?"
I've got a parking ticket from 3 years ago with Impark... haven't heard a word.
Just don't get caught parking there without a pass again, otherwise they will tow you.
I never have

No. They used to have an agreement between the Service Alberta Minister and the Impark Corp to be able to obtain your information from Alberta Registries. A FOIP complaint was filed and the AMVIR policy was implemented. Their access has been denied ever since as they are not a government organization.Originally posted by koopkoop2

If you've never paid for an Impark ticket, check your credit history. You might be in for a surprise.

This past summer however in edmonton they didnt even leave a ticket, they towed my car (new liscence plate though). Funny thing is, they didnt tow any other cars but the 2 Lexus' in the parking lot, bastards
