Man stabbed in Calgary carjacking

A 29-year-old man is in hospital after he was stabbed during a carjacking in northeast Calgary Sunday morning.
Police say the driver was stopped at a stop sign at 19th Street and 18th Avenue N.E. at about 7:15 a.m. MT when a man jumped into the passenger seat of the car and demanded money.
The man then punched and stabbed the driver. When the driver jumped out of the car, the suspect fled in the car.
The driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a man in his forties, with long grey hair and a goatee, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a worn grey jacket and ripped jeans.
Police are also looking for the victim's vehicle, a silver four-door 2009 Ford Focus with the B.C. licence plate 153 RDC.
