According to that blog, they are coming here.
I hope this trend continues. The next three Qs are going to determine what Ford looks like going forward.
Ford is not my cup of tea (here or in Europe) but I don't want to see them go broke.

Ford in Europe is synonymous to quality and reliability.
What the hell is up with North America?
So, after talking with a friend who lives out by the Windsor belt, he was adamant that though the design of number of their vehicles share or are identical to their counterparts in Europe.
What the differences are, that though the parameters and tolerances "should" be the same for parts and assembly, its mostly their "downstream" providers whom often drop the ball.
What I mean is that, though bolt for bolt, a Focus or Fusion (Mondeo) is built like its European counterpart, the quality of componants often made by Ford's OEMs are inferior.
The tie arms, control arms, and other vital parts are more prone to failure as often the quality of the casted parts are far from the quality that they "should" be.
Now, why not source the parts elsewhere? Well often these big 3 companies have long standing ties and contracts that have hefty penalties for pre-termination. This is why likely companies such as Tremac, who have made both great and shitty transmissions, continue to make transmissions for the Big 3, rather than lets say Asin who make Diffs/Transmissions for a number of Japanese/Korean companies.
Its really too bad, as unfortunately its got to the point where the North American people have lost faith in their own car manufactures.
So it's Ford's fault for buying low-quality parts and services from N.A. OEMs.
