Default Help, broke a hose connected to intake manifold

So here's what happened....I decided to change my pcv. There was this one short thin hose connected to the intake manifold covering those black air tubes. That thin hose was in the way on top PCV, so having to moved it, the friggin hose snap....looks like a cheap plastic on the end where it connects to had broken off from somewhere underneath the manifold....i can see a blue plastic thing stuck inside the hose.

Turned the car on...and air was blowing out of that hose....during my test drive...sometimes goin from 0-90km/hr, the car suddenly makes a huge jump in rpms.. I can hear the car revving....but not accelerating...also the car seems to change gears way too early...I can even hear air hissing in the car while driving

    2000 impreza...2.2L engine...Automatic...

need help finding what the problem is and how to fix it?

    much appreciated,

    1: Go to dealer
    2: Buy new hose
    3: Replace hose on car
4: Air no longer leaks out of hose thus problem solved and cars right again

when i get home i'll take pictures tonight on what it looks like.

Actually its not the hose that is broken...it's where it connects to that's broken..cheap plastic.... and it blows out air. I have a feeling it'll be a PITA to get that part whatever that hose connects to be replaced underneath it.

I found a pic on the web which looks almost identical...I hope that helps for those familiar with subaru engines. When i get home, i'll take more proper pictures.

    Thanks,

Looks like a vacuum port on the kick-down solenoid for your auto..

Your exactly right!! I ended up JBwelding that hose directly to the valve solenoid. That part, i was quoted at 275 from Subaru calgary. It's just a temporary fix until i head over to the junkyard and find a similar part.

I got alot of informative help over at rs25.com forums.

Now the car runs as it should, no sudden revs, and catches all the gears.
