Default Current Problems on SHAW internet?!

I'm getting DNS lookup errors and all that good stuff like all the time tonight, as well as brutal speed (5-10kb a sec as compared to a norm of 600-1000kb/sec)

    Anyone else pooched tonight too?

Just got off the phone with those bunch of abortion escapees...

I always *67 my number when I call, and run my firewall at full blast just to piss them off.

The operator who answered spoke brutal english and obviously hates his job.

Me: "Hi Yes, I'm having some DNS errors and extremely slow speeds tonight on your network, just curious as to when I can look forward to those being resolved?"

Tech: "Nothing is wrong with our stuff, it is you whom are wrong"

Me: "Um, no...its a DNS error, it has nothing to do with my modem or computer"

Tech: "We have no slated DNS errors affecting anyone on our network, our network is indestructable, and has no errors"

Me: "Are you familiar with what a DNS server is?"

    Tech: "Is this a joke?"

    Me: "Its a simple question"

Tech: "What websites are giving you issues?"

Me: "You never answered my question. You say its my stuff that is the problem when you havent even checked it out. Do I house the DNS servers at my home? Your network crumbles at the drop of a hat, I have constant issues with disconnectivity and dialup speeds with your people...and so I ask you the same question...is this a Joke?

Tech: "I assure you our network is running fine, it must be you who is slow"

Me: "Numerous other people say they are having problems on your service tonight also, is it possible that we are all having a simultanious PC breakdown?"

Tech: "I have no problems reported, Your DNS errors are your problem, it is not my fault you and your friends have inferior systems, what are the websites you are trying to view while having these problems?

    Me: "your mothers" *click*

    hahahahhah

    nice work ben

had so much fun in the past with shaw customer service

a program called Crazy Talk (type in what you want to say and it will speak it in a computer voice...) is fun as hell to use in these situations...set the options to run the voice REALLLY deep

and yes....I've also been getting dns errors all over the place tonight...must be my inferior system

God Ben, I got a tear to my eye reading that!

Gotta love those "The estimated hold time will be .... 1 hour and 26 minutes..." messages.
Like HOW COULD SOMETHING NOT BE WRONG if that many people are calling in. What do people just wanna hear the re-assuring voice of an operator or is there a MASS problem.

nothing like shaw thats for sure...Shaw does have shitty customer service, but i've only dealt with them once but thats not too bad. The speed makes up for any advantages that telus may have in their CS dept.

for the last 2weeks my telus has been down at least once a day.... it pisses me off! its getting a bit better though, not getting d/c'd as much anymore. it was usually down twice a day sometimes, I called in and they kept saying the problem was "maintanence"(sp?)
    I rather have shaw back!

    basically, its different for everyone.

Some people love shaw, some people love TELUS, you will always get a split with tons of people supporting both,

in a nutshell, what it comes down to is where you live.
