heh.. I just want my "professionally built" 240/RB20 to be driveable.
Actually bolting the engine to the chassis will be a good start. Then I'll swap out the "Z32 MAF" the car came with (which is not even a Z32 MAF) and replace it with an RB20DET silvertop MAF so that the car will run properly. Then I'll fix the radio, backup lights, intercooler piping, climate controls, speaker wiring ect ect ect ect ect ect ect
This will be on top of the hundreds of hours I've put into the car already.. Bought it a month ago and haven't driven it yet.
I have no doubt the car will be great when it's done, I was just under the impression that it WAS done when I bought it.

A few goals for the upcoming year.
- Build a car that's capable on dragstrip, autox, and roadcourse.
- Reliable pump gas powered 400whp.
- Stop getting rear ended.
- Lose some weight... frickin' power to weight ratio's killin' me!

Get the weight under 2800lbs.
Get the power over 330whp.
These are the modest, acheivable goals for the 951. The big goal is to build a kit car of some kind.
Caterham super 7-- Hayabusa engine
Shelby Daytona-- SC mustang donor to rolling chassis
Shelby Cobra -- " " " "

fastest MK2 GTI I know of in Canada ran 11 flat...so if you have 30k or so to dump into a golf, and have it build by a reputable shop, then away you go

well, not blow money on my car. that is my main goal. it is far too easy to get into the mod thing and end up buying shit that isnt relavent or not usefull toyour final goal. Especially when it comes to engines i think. i can change my mind almost 2 a day on what i want to do with my car. with that kind of 'mod discontent' i am taking it slow and making sure what i do i want to do and wont just be in a desperate hurry to sell it (car or mod) in a few months because something else came up.
