Where do you look when your fighting someone? Just wondering cause i'm getting mixed answers between the chest, clavicle, etc.

EDIT: forgot to add in, whats the best spot to look at when your boxing (no kicks)

Im typically looking at the chest/clavicle area for stand up fighting (kicks but no ground work). You can fake with the eyes, but the upper body doesnt lie to someone with experience.

Not that I'm claiming to be a pro, but everyone I've trained with says you want to watch the upper chest; power comes from the core and even kicks are telegraphed by the upper body.

I've always been taught to look at the chest/solar plexus region and it definitely works for me. You'll pick up movement with your peripheral vision so it gives you the best overall view of your opponent.

    where do you guys train?

As an aikidoka, we generally look around the shoulderline, +/- 30 centimeters (approx). We never focus on the eyes, because they can deceive. That's just my general experience in classes and practices.
