Default ticket for red light (multinova pic)

i got a ticket 5 months back for running a red light (it was late, no one on the roads and i barely missed the light and yes it was stupid don't want to hear anyone lecturing me about it).

anyway, i have a court date coming up (this is the 2nd court date, i appeared earlier and pleaded not guilty and got it moved 4 months down).

Wondering what i can do to possibly get a little off. No demerits, just would like maybe a little bit off the price.

Do i have to hire someone, or do i explain to the judge what happens? not sure how to go about this.

No, they will not ADD demerits.

All you can do is discuss it with the crown. With any luck, they will reduce the fine. It may not be as easy as it is with officer-issued tickets though - it's a bit more black-and-white.

Why was it late? Where were you coming from?

yep it was about 1 or 2 AM wasn't drinking, was working night shift, wanted to get home was tired.....thought i could make the light, did not.....

but yes what do you mean i discuss this with the crown? i've never really done this.....do you mean the judge that looks at all those tickets? i've done that before and they ended up throwing out a ticket i had (wasn't traffic related).....

I think admitting you're guilty on a public forum hurts your not guilty plea
    In reference to Rob Anders:

Do judges/CPs really watch this website and try to cross reference his beyond name with his real identity to prove that he is guilty?

Or do you know him and are going to run into court while he is trying to plead innocent with a printed copy of this thread...

Because if so, you are a bad person

The fact that he's going to go down and say the REASON he ran the red was because he was tired. I think that alone implicates him, and tells the judge he was the driver

I dunno what grounds you can use to get the fine reduced. I would just straight out tell the crown that you just want to have the fine reduced and hope he does it.
