I'm not trying to be a dick, but it's the same thing with gas prices, everyone whines and complains about the cost, and yet they're still paying it

If you want DT parking prices to drop, don't park downtown. All the lots I see are almost always totally full, so it can't be that bad to park downtown yet.

It’s cause and effect. Build a huge sprawling city bigger than New York with a transit system to small for Cochrane, than make sure to build zero parking capacity in downtown. Bam, you can charge $100/day because you give people no choice in the matter.

We'd be screwed either way. If we had twice the downtown parking capacity, then traffic would be much worse.

We've got ourselves into a lose-lose situation. Thank goodness I currently walk to work downtown.

People have a choice, but unfortunately nobody likes to make the difficult choice of leaving earlier and giving themselves enough time to get to work.

Lots can probably charge $50/day and they will still have people parking there.
