    Selling Denon AVR-888 home theater receiver in mint condition, with remote, manual and original box. About 1/2 year old. Still under warranty. It upconverts video up to 1080p scaling with Faroudja DCDi FLi2310. Retailing for $899. Asking $500 firm.

    It has 2 HDMI/1.3a inputs. I assume it is full HDMI. Thanks.

    The 888 will scale the video to 1080P, however it will only do so from analog sources. So, you can't hook up anything via HDMI that you want it to scale, but that is fine. Just use component video cables off of your HD cable box and/or DVD player and scale that to 1080P.

    Native 1080P sources (i.e. blu-ray) should be passed through anyways, as the video processer will actually damage the picture with its noise reduction and such. You can pass through the singal on the 888 (its probably automatic when you use HDMI because it can't scale that anyways so it has to pass it through) so you are good to go for blu-rays as well.
