Has anyone bought a carbon fiber hood from mod bargains? How does it fit and do I need to do anything else or buy anything else like hood pins etc for it to work?

I have purchased so many items from ModBargains.
Good people, and they will treat you well. I'm vouching for customer service.
I have NOT purchased CF from them.
Vorstiener is the way to go with CF, great fitment, and quality.
hmm i dont know if i would agree with you there. Vorsteiner is a little over rated imo. I have seen perfect fitment and some of their stuff that needs a lot of work. Doesn't seem like they are very consistant, and actually i think they are over priced. When i had my M3 i remember that many people were buying the CF trunks from modbargains and they were the cheapest on the market and had very good fitment. I was going to buy one but i bought a CSL trunk that was used and already painted from another car.Originally posted by scat19

I remember i placed an order with them last year. I bought an xpipe for my exhaust, and the only reason i decided to go with them was because they had free shipping on the item and also because it was the best price i could find it for. Seemed like a great deal. Well it turned into a nightmare. I waited almost 3 months for it to show up (In the US) because they had told me it was in stock but apparently they were sold out and were on back order waiting for it to show up. I haunted them with emails and phone calls and just kept telling me it had already been sent. In the end they gave me no big discount on my order. They did say they would take 5% off my next order (wow!) which i never bothered to do because of the headaches i got from the first time.
So i would say their customer service is complete shit, and they don't know how to satisfy their customers. I made a big thread about it actually on one of the forums and then a bunch of other members wrote about their bad experiences with them as well. Seems like they had tons of horror stories when dealing with customers.
Keep in mind that they have good prices and that their products are quality parts, but their customer service ...
umnitza.. may not have what you need though
bought rims and exhaust from there, good service +1.
As for cf parts, never bought any. But PM me you vehicle make and model, I have a local friend who can get anything you need for a beemer in CF

I had bought new rims from them, just came out from Velocity Motoring.
I had everything overnighted (work, at the time, had a wicked shipping plan. It was cheaper to overnight than regular ground )
The rears were shipped for my bimmer, but the fronts had Audi fitment.
2 days later, and after confirming fronts (by pictures) where wrong, I had a correct set at my door.
Velocity Motoring / Modbargains were good to me. Seem to have a good repor at e46fanatics.com
I had excellent service at Modbargains.
I would stay away from EAS (European Auto Source) I have had nothing but problems with them. Modbargains did not have the Velocity Motoring wheels in stock that I wanted, so I went through EAS. One of the rims came damaged. They finally said they would warranty it, but I have to pay for shipping the wheel to them, and cover the shipping back to me of the replacement.
How is the smiley driving the bike? With no legs.....
Yes really, maybe they don't mess up too often but they sure fucked up my order and were assholes about it. There is a huge thread on m3forum about them having shitty customer service. I also experienced horrible service from Umnitza.Originally posted by scat19

I purchased my H&R Sport Springs from ModBargains. I have no complaints. I do not know how smooth shipping would go with such a huge item.
