    Default Calgary Roads

Hey just wondering when your going out riding, how are the roads. Since there's a lot of gravel and rocks on the ground does that actually bother you while your driving? Also how is riding in DT or Deerfoot? I've seen a busa going over 120 on deerfoot once is that extremely dangerous? (gravel, rocks, and just shitty roads being the dangerous factor)

After a few carb adjustments and a new expansion pipe, I finally hit a cruising speed of 60km/h. Albeit i'm riding on residential streets full of ice ruts. I find it's a bit early, but i'll do it at a lower speed.

I don't think I was clear lol, I meant not in todays weather but just riding in Calgary in General, since most of the videos I see with riders are nicely paved roads, but looking at deerfoot and how messed up it is, I was just wondering how bad the road conditions for riding is in Calgary all season long.

You have to drive for the conditions and your skill level all the time. Yes, calgary has some shitty roads, but so does every place you go. The cracks in deerfoot can throw you around a bit, but they've been paving more and more of it.. And you just have to expect it. Gravel and other drivers are your biggest concern, they are what will bite your ass the fastest.

Its fine. I have my suspension set up for track use, whereas its very very harsh on our roads... and even then its not unbearable. Deerfoot in places IS absolutely brutal, but for the most part Calgary as a whole isn't all that bad.
I'd rather have my suspension set-up to be for the track, and quite harsh on the roads rather then very mushy, whereas when I go out of my way to come across some wicked cloverleafs: I can't push the bike in the way I'd like to through them.

Just do a few track days at Racecity, and you'll know first hand what its like to try to push yourself, and your bike on horrendous road conditions. From there you wont have ANY problems with Calgary roads.
