I have had Ogam (Korean) chicken near Chinook mall.. It is sooooo good there. Anyone else have been there?

I went there one time for lunch a while back and didn't think it was that good. Might have to give it another try..

I prefer Yum Yum or KFC.

Pretty divey but swans of inglewood had an unreal fried chicken n waffles sandwich.. The rest of their food is shockingly good as well. Definitely would recommend checking it out.

On another note: chicken and waffles at Roosevelt on 17th is bomb-diggity.

the best is if you take the spicy sauce from olive chicken and use it on yum yum chicken from airdrie

+1 Yum Yum in Airdrie FTW.
Better than Ogam, Bonga and Olive. IMO.

Our go to is Wow chicken as well but, now that there is a Yum Yum Chicken on Southland and Elbow we tend to go there as it's closer to home.

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but Smokehouse Diner (The Fargo coffee shop/diner) has the best fried chicken I've ever had, and I've had some good fried chicken in town (Yum Yum, Olive, Ogam, COTW, Fritou etc.)

For those wanting to try, it's in Odgen about a few minutes off Glenmore SE. Order the Broasters Chicken. They have it in spicy and regular. It's pressure fried for quicker cooking times, less grease, super crisp and juicy inside. The GF and I had it 3 nights in a row the first time we had it

I just moved to Calgary and my buddy brought me to Wow Chicken on 10th street.

We had the Soy Garlic and original recipe chicken.

The chicken was pretty good, I recommend Soy Garlic

but you MUST have the fries...

    Bulgogi seasoning wow.

    BUMP.

So how would you gauge Popeye's against the competition?

    I think...

    1. Wow/Yum-Yum
    2. Popeye's

FUU I forgot about trying out Smokehouse Diner!

    Popeyes is okay. 6/10.

    Cotw ranks a 4/10

    Mary browns 6/10

    Kfc 2/10

    Fritou 7/10

    Going to try this diner.

    Big fan of KFC 8/10

    Mary browns 7/10

COTW 2/10, but those fritters+gravy will keep me coming back every time

KFC is good when straight out of the deep fryer

havent tried Popeyes yet but Yum Yum is really good, too bad the sizes of the chicken are a little small for the price you're getting (half thigh is one piece IIRC?)
    Wow is good too
    Fritou is good as well
COTW, I like to go there mostly for their corn fritter
    Mary Browns, A&W also good.

Now, talking about gravy I still think KFC makes the best, the rest are too salty.

I prefer Cluck N Clever over Popeye but of course they are totally at different price point although both are doing Louisiana style.

    My ranking:

    Cluck N Clever
    COTW
    Popeye
    Mary Brown
    KFC

    My ranking, personally:

    1. Broaster's Chicken @ Smokehouse Diner
    2. Popeye's
    3. Yum Yum
    4. WOW Chicken/Ogam (tie)
    5. Fritou

Haven't tried Cluck N Clever yet, so I may change the ranking if it's good. COTW and KFC both are gross to me. I find it way too salty/greasy for my liking. That's probably an unpopular opinion. lol

If we had it, Jollibee would be my number 1.
