Default Looking to buy a new MIG welder

My POS buzzbox is well, simply... a POS. So I'm looking at getting a new MIG. Was looking at the Lincoln Mig-Pak 140, or a Hobart Handler 140. Really if I had the extra cash flow, i'd get a Millermatic 140. But i don't. Where is the best place to pick up a new welder? Looking to get one asap.

... Also. I need gas now. I was using stinkin flux core before. Where is an affordable place to get bottle+gas. Looking at like a 15-20 pound bottle, if they got them that small around here.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

We use a couple of Esab welders for mig roots...been using them for about 18 months...very solid machines for that. I would imagine for home use they would excel!!!

Im running a Lincoln 125 on solid .35 wire with c25, and im more than happy with its performance. Its good for hobby welding, as long as you arent going to weld anything over 3/16ths it would be excellent.

My shop and myself use Praxair for gas, maybe check out their prices.

When you are looking at them, make sure they COME WITH the gas setup. Some of the migpacks sell for like 500$ but then you have to spend an extra 200$ for the gas kit. Luckily mine had it already, so all i had to do was get the regulator and feed line from regulator to welding machine. I dont do much mig, but i am planning on getting a syncro wave next year, or maybe this year, depending on how much work we get (=
