    Default Help! Possibility of taking legal action?!

    So lastnight i was at cowboys! got in a fight inside the bar it got broken up! as i was taken off the person one of the bouncers rear naked choked me and the other one decked me in the face a couple times then in the stomach! the cops said that much force was not neccesary at all and that he can be charged! i was wondering if it would be possible to take legal action and possibly sue the power hungry bouncer!

    Was any of this video taped?
    Did the cop witness the fight?
    If so: Did you get his information? Is he willing to be a witness?

    Otherwise... it seems like it's his word against yours...

    hahah i coulda took him just i was in a choke kinda hard?! and

    yes the cop seen the incident, and yes he said he would be a witness! Im not sure about video taped but probably since theres cameras everywhere!

    People don't decide if charges are pressed. The Police do. And if the cop felt that the bouncer(s) should have been charged he/they would have been.

    I suspect there is more to this story than is being told.

    theres probably video tape but highly unlikey they will release it to you, cowboys has always been shady with this and usually say that they "lost it"..weird that the cop is on your side, usually they are on the bouncers side

    So you got into a fight then when the bouncer tried to restore order he basically wrestled you off the guy and kept oyu from fighting back?

    And you want to sue them why? Wow

    Have news for ya... if there's an active fight going on... even cops will use force to restore order.

    The cop said that to make you feel better, so you would calm down and sucker you into walking away while you think about getting rich with a lawsuit. It worked.
