    Default 2009 Cochrane Winter Rally

Just in case some of you Beyonders are bored this weekend, mabye you should make a trip out to Cochrane on Sunday?

This weekend (March 1st) is the first event of the Western Canada Rally Championship, the Cochrane Winter Rally. Servicing is being held at the (EDIT) Forest Reserve Stages (which is marked quite nicely on the spectator guide which Bituerbo linked), while the stages are right close to the service area (60 odd km's NW of Cochrane). Sounds like there is lots of snow, and the weather should be perfect for spectating (forecast is around 0*C for the high).

More info can be found on www.cochranerally.ca (things like a spectator guide, schedule, etc). Come say hi and blab if you want, I'll be there co-driving for Hardyboy Racing like usual.

This was our car back in 2008 at Cochrane:

Unless if there is a suprise in store for me this Friday, the car should look almost exactly the same (quite a bit more sedate compared to the Subaru Canada decals we were running for most of last year).

The spectator guide on the '09 page doesn't work, but here is a spectator guide from the '08 page that shows location, distance.

Just remember that the dates are incorrect on this:

    I thought the title was

    2009 Cocaine Winter Rally

    I was disappointed.

I don't think servicing is in Cochrane....that's a heck of a commute in between stages ....i believe service is in the same little staging area just north of the Harold Crk turnoff...on the trunk road.

That's awesome. Are there any other dates of rally events being held around here? I can't make it to Cochrane this weekend.

I don't really know why I wrote that in, come to think of it. I've edited my post for clarity (the cochrane rally website does say Forest Reserve Stages).

    The o-fishal 2009 spectator guide:

    http://www.morisoncom.com/Cochrane09Spectators.pdf

Has nice info on it like when to arrive at stages to spectate! Hope to see some Beyonder's out there.

BTW, apparently the Weather Network is calling for 10*C on Sunday I guess we'll wait and see if the temps really do get that high.

Bahahahahh oh man that is funny
A Ferrari is a high maintenance chick, you spend money regardless of what you do with her. You can baby the C63, or slap on all seasons, and you won't be spending anything but yearly maintenance. Of course that's like dating a stripper and refusing to fuck her, which would make you gay.

Leave Cochrane at 8am and you should be fine...

For the Hunter valley spectator point (stages 1 and 2 on the west side of highway40), you'll need to be there and in place by 9:15Am.....Car 0 (me) will be coming in at 9:30Am...that road will be opened back up at approx 11am ......

If you stay for the afternoon, that same road will be used four more times (it is re-closed from 1:30 - 6:00)........(stage 7, 10, 11 & 14).

    Clear as mud??
