There is an actual product you can find at any parts store called Automotive Paint Stripper. This works wonders.

Also look for Airline Paint Stripper. That shit will eat away at almost anything.

just goto an automotive paint store are buy gunwash, it'll take it off leasy. dont use brake fluid or anything like that though because it'll soak into the metal and when you goto paint that part again it wont stick and it will bubble.

I used a little something from rona called "paint and varnish remover". this stuff works wonders, and its not deadly like aircraft stripper. you still need to wear gloves with it, but its cheaper than the aircraft stripper

well my friend, you are taking another trip to ackalands for a few cans of airline paint striper. DO NOT let the product get on to any plastic parts. it will eat right through them.. make sure to mask of the pannel so this does not happen. Also, wear a mask. the fumes are really bad and will get to ya after awhile (speaking of experience if course). then put a big peice of carboard under the area and use a rubber scraper to pull everything down. wipe the surface with thinner and you got your self some bare metal

um.. at work we use airline paint stripper. half the jug will strip a hood in 10 min. just spread it on the hood, and cover it with masking paper, plasticy side down. then use a metal scraper, to clean it off. just keep the paper on the goop, or the melted paint will dry and stick to the hood. then sand smooth. takes about 20 min to do it. Jus be CAREFUL not to pour it on any bondo or bodywork. any spills just use water to clean, wear rubber gloves.( it burns )
