What about the Northgate location? me and a buddy are planning to go there after work which is around 9:30pm. Was going to go tonight but holy shit $15 for drop in fee per person T_T. Definitely will be going there tomorrow to check out month to month.

i checked out gold's after work today on 130th at around 5:15
and you guys were right, there's alot of douchebaggy looking dudes haha.
it looked pretty damn busy and crowded

i should open a gym with a ton of free weights. i checked out 3 gyms today and although they were large from the outside, there was not enough free weights/benches

i miss my work gym haha
not looking fowrad to paying $50/month somewhere lol

i went to goodlife fitness in mackenzie town at around 5:15 after work today, i walked in the door and it was JAM PACKED.
how do people work out like this?!?!

I've been going to Gold's for a few years and split my time betweek Mckenzie/Northgate.

I usually go on my lunch so I never experience congestion problems however I have worked out after work and Mckenzie is much worse only due to the lack of lifting equipment vs Northgate.

Comparing Northgate/Mckenzie
Mckenzie:
-Better staff, and staff presence
-Much better fitness facility respecting cardio/gym space/stretching areas etc
-Very good fitness classes with good instructors
-There seems to be a consistant core of trainers employed there, suggesting they actually know what they're doing
-MUCH cleaner locker rooms, mostly caucasion if that matters to you
-always busy

Northgate:
-Sometimes no staff to be seen
-more robust lifting area and equipment compared to Mckenzie- kept well organized
-not much stretching/fitness room. I think the entire gym shares one exercise ball.
-I've never seen a class actually take place or a person being trained by a golds trainer
-Terrible upkeep of locker rooms- often disgusting.
-sometimes it's dead so you can work out with a lot of freedom

End of the day, if you're looking for a gym and your primary workout time is early evening after work, it doesn't matter where you go- it's all fubar.
