    Default Haskayne admission this year

For anyone who has jumped in this year what was the GPA requirement?
UC is a little slow on updating the previous year's GPA req.

To be considered for Fall 2009 acceptance, I was informed by the Ungraduate's Office at Haskayne that my GPA has to be 3.2 minimum

So take that with a grain of salt I guess.

Thats the same gpa ive heard too. Kept my grades way above that to ensure i would get in just in case they had a significantly higher gpa this year.

It all depends on how many people apply, and their marks when applying.

Really, apply and hope, but yeah be around a 3.0-3.2 and you should be fine.

Doesn't really matter what the GPA requirement is. There are only a certain number of seats. If others are more qualified, they could get your spot.

I remember way back when the entrance GPA was 3.7.

Wow did not realize how competitive it was to get into the Haskayne. It seems much easier to get 85% or whatever in High School than to earn a 3.7+ in University. Anyways good luck.

+1. I am not going to lie, I dicked around all of high school and still got into Haskayne. I dont think that the amount of work I put in, in HS would give me a 3.7. Fuck, I don't even think I could get a 3.7 this semester LOL. God I miss high school

I have a couple of friends applying this year with 3.6 to 3.9's. I'm guessing the average is going to shoot up this year.

Shh dude! You're ruining my chances of getting potential Haskayne kids into Engg!

You're also ruining my chances of hitting some FNCE tail.

Thats not true, unless transfer admission is different than admission right out of high school. When I came in from high school, 2005, it was a 80%, if you had 80.1 you were still guranteed entry. If you make the minimum required grad Im pretty sure you're in!?

I think Haskayne students like coming on here and inflating what is req'd to get into business, just to make themselves feel better. ( some sort of inferiority exclusive to business students )

I got into Haskayne with 82 and I was guaranteed admission as long as I maintained an 80 average. I declined.

My brother got into third year transfer program with a 3.00.

So, 05 for the guy above, 07 for me, 08 for my brother and I highly doubt its gonna change to 3.7 in 09. After all, we are talking about Haskayne here, not Harvard Business School as some seem to think.

Its 3.2 this year (based on last years transfers) but it is subject to change based on the quality of the students transferring in, they have a quota to reach. Although i wouldn't be surprised if there were quite a few high gpa. Have you seen the size of the deans list? That thing is massive.

Getting in via high school(first year entrance) is far easier since the average to get in hovers around 80. Not difficult by any stretch.
