I went to the UofC open house and talked to the Haskayne people at their booth. They said 3.1 +/- 0.1 should be what 2010 FALL be.

But they did warn me, that one year it spiked to 3.5 .
But she said thats usually an anomoly...
Lets just hope not everyone is flooding to the UofC business due to this recession O_O ...

(I Hope that now MRU is a U, it'll ease the GPA competition at UoFC business)

I'm in the middle of upgrading and my one diploma isn't being written until June - so what do I do? Apply and say I'm upgrading and have new marks coming my way?

You can apply and it's just early acceptance right now I think, so you just put your marks you already know/expect to get whatever. Then you order your transcripts in July and tell it to send in before Aug 1st(you're going to have to check that) and it should show your new marks.

If you're applying now, you don't need to say you're upgrading or send in a transcript yet.

Yes, they dont release admissions to July I believe, they wait for your marks. Contact an advisor.

How does early admissions work for transfer students? Im currently taking the last required 5 courses this semester to fulfill the requirements to get into 3rd yr Haskayne for Fall 2010 hopefully.

If I were to send my marks for everything except for these 5 courses would I still be eligible for early admission or would I have to wait until all my marks are submitted? I currently have a 3.8GPA so I'm unsure if I should submit my fall 2009 transcript marks or should I just wait until I have my winter marks as well?

Don't think you need to submit any marks if you are at the U of c.
Pretty sure they will just look them up themselves.

Alright submitted my 15 courses to UofC, I have a 3.2 GPA as of Fall 2009 (5 out of the 10 courses that will be calculated)

-Doing the last 5 of the 20 right now. A bit unclear; but I take it that you can get early admission so long as your GPA was high enough in your past 15 or 5 courses?

Well I'm on People soft, my application is still incomplete...
I'm assuming 3.2 isn't high enough for early admission...that can only mean one thing....

Fall 2010 Admission GPA: 3.20 +++ ??

They havent started accepting people early yet.
I have a 3.5 GPA from Fall 2009 (even higher for the last 15) and i am completing my final five this winter.
Id wait until mid-march before i got worried.

Just got early admission for my second choice (BA Philosophy) with a 3.2 .

I can accept/decline. So I assume the early admission for Business is above 3.5 since some people on the board here do not have it yet with a 3.5GPA ?

i feel i may need to upgrade 1 course in the spring. Is it true U of C really doesnt accept spring courses as a gpa booster? I really do not want to waste another year to go to u of c.

Also, if I dont get into U of C is there any chance I can get into U of A? Anybody know if their admission requirements are similar?

Haskayne will accept courses taken in the spring but NOT in the summer, I believe.

Did you apply with 15 or the 20 courses?
EDIT: NM I saw your older post. Ok I guess the early admission for this year is 3.5

I got early admission for my 2nd choice (arts) with a 3.2
Student center says my Bcomm application is incomplete until I send in my Winter 2010 marks. Shit, its all in for me now with these 5 courses.

You can take spring courses to fulfill requirements.

GPA from these spring courses will NOT be used
UofA's admission requirements are slightly lower by 0.1 from what ive read. best to check the site.
