Saw this day, was very dissapointed. It was not what I expected at all. Johnny Depp is a good actor, that was about it. Bale was decent too.

Instead, go to the cheap theaters and catch Drag me to Hell. 10x more fun.

I thought it was pretty decent. Abit long but it wasn't bad. Just wondering, what were you guys expecting from the movie? That was pretty much exactly what i expected after watching the previews.

It was aesthetically brilliant and historically accurate...but it just was a very average movie otherwise. Michael Mann may be a brilliant cinematographer but his directing was otherwise pretty blah in this.

I'll call this movie a victim of my lofty expectations, I thought it had all the makings of one of the best movies of all time. Instead its just a good gangster movie/biopic, nothing more.

This movie seemed like it was so poorly made. I don't know if it was just the show I went to or what, but the audio was super quiet for almost all of the first 30 minutes, and the scene cuts were SO poorly done. Nothing flowed at all and I found myself confused a lot of the time.

The story itself, however, was amazing, and Depp's acting was perfect as usual.

It was pretty good. I suppose when your following someones true life its tough to make it more exciting. I liked it. But I would probably wait for it to hit DVD to watch it.

    Agreed.

You can't really go wrong with Johnny Depp as the lead role (unless it's a POS Tim Burton type, alice in wonderland/willy wonka/lSD trip type movie). I watched it last night, I was interested in the historical aspect of it as well as the semi spin the director took on his life. This movie was pretty damn close to how his life went.

Just watched it, it was pretty good. I thought it was a tad long and I agree the sound wasn't done properly because some parts you could barely hear while the action scenes were really loud.

Pretty much all has been said, action scenes are fucking intense (awesome action scenes) and are also very loud, and then the quiet parts are TOO quiet, hard to adjust to... but not overly bothersome.

Keeping in mind the whole 1933 era and all, I thought it was pretty damn enjoyable..

Drag me to hell was hilarious!!
One of the best movie experiences I've had in a long time.
We stood and clapped when it was over.

I'm amused by the simplicity of this game. Bring me your finest meats and cheeses.

Saw Public Enemies last night and thought it was really good. The acting by Johnny Depp was awesome, and I am usually not a big fan of his. I enjoyed the movie for what it was, was a bit less action packed then I had imagined from the preview, but still an overall enjoyable movie.

The only part that sucked was the retarded Harry Potter fans in the halls making a lot of noise, which destracted me during the quieter dialog scenes.
