I grew up in a country where 7-11s have security guards that carry a shotgun and grenade? I understood the shotgun but i don't know about the grenade. I'm From Philippines. but marlboro is scary cause it stanks.

Take a seat yall I was born in JNF!!! BRRRAAP!!! LOL but come on guys Marlborough?? Rundle?? None of those places are scary maybe if your not used to seeing a lot black people or natives in one spot, that might seem scary to you...and why be scared of a crackhead? I'd rather be friends with them...shit they'll sell you a InDash DVD for $20 or 360 for $50. Man I was hoping this was a creepy spot thread, like under the bridges on Bow River heard they have bats
But were you the minority within the area ?Originally posted by top_speed

Any place haunted
I just passed thru the most terrifying place in Calgary and made it out without as much as a scratch: the T&T parking lot in Harvesy Hills.
I even saw a parking lot accident while in the Timmy's drive thru lineup. Asian drivers are scary, but on mass in their Honda Odyessy's and Camry's...
I went to the Warehouse with a buddy from out of province that didn't know how to pick out OGs...that was scary.
it ranks up there.LOL I work at the certigard in that shopping complexOriginally posted by hampstor

Scariest place in Calgary is Chinook mall.. I get an anxiety attack just getting close to that place.

driving by cecil hotel
To get into downtown from where I live usually means crossing the Langevin bridge and driving past the Cecil... If I have to stop at the lights in front of it, I make sure that my doors are locked and I don't make eye contact. You see cop cars all the time driving into the grassy area across the street...
i've driven into downtown a bunch of times since the cecil was closed and i can't remember seeing any of the dealers or crackheads on fourth ave. their main hangout at the entrance to the pub has been boarded shut. i've seen some homeless walking in the area, but that's to be expected with the shelter there and all.
This was definitely pre-closure. You would definitely see some interesting characters in front of the pub. Or, if you went left after the bridge, some even more interesting types hanging out under the overpass...Originally posted by Willie Bobo

its scary when your waiting for a light and a junkie coems and washes ur windshield
I'm more leary of getting jumped around the palimino tracks then crack macs. But scary places? hrmmm. I've been in a lot of old basements in some old buldings downtown, that don't even have power.. So going in a few of those with only a small flashlight has been sketchy. haha
