I've been looking at the Gen Coupe forum in Korea since last year(they started selling that in Korea last year august). Most people said it's hyundai's first car that the vehicle doesn't have major issue in its first year.

    Used STI.

Get a downpipe, Cobb AP2, and your brother will have a fun DD.

    His choices for New;

VW GTI - great all rounder
MS3 - another great all rounder
Cobalt SS - best performer around
    HHR SS - most practical
    SRT4 - 0-60 guages, cheap cheap
    Ralliart Lancer - see WRX
WRX - Fun in the snow -
Cooper S - Most fun in the corners
Genesis - Best looking and RWD

I'd have a tough time choosing between the above. It all depends on what else he likes / needs.

For just a fun car, it'd be the genesis.

Who cares... 375 hp?? For under 40k? You really care what the 17 year old in the civic thinks about what you drive?

The SRT8 300 has like 400 hp, and it is not a fast car. Heavy, poor in the corners. Quick yes, but fast no.

375hp means nothing, it will depend on the car weight, transmission etc. I have never driven one yet, but the HP alone really doesn't mean that much.

And any used Audi is nothing would ever consider. Maintenance is not cheap on these cars.

No such thing in the coupe.

The sedan V8 is more than 40 grand if that's what you are talking about.
