Default Idle problem, starting problem. KA24DE problem.

Sooo, if you noticed I needed a new ECU.
That seems to solve my my number #3 cylinder to fire, along with replacing that fuel injector.

This is what is bothering me:

    - whenever I slow down (gear down) to a stop. When I hit 2nd, it'll just stall.

    - when I go to turn on the car, it won't. Unless I put down the gas.

    - it feels like it's not getting it's usual juice.

Start car, buy multimeter for 13$ at canadian tire, set to dc ~20 volts, put red to red and black to black on battery, see if you are getting more than 13 volts. If you are, your alternator is fine, and maybe replace all 4 injectors with good ones. Sounds like you got fueling issues to me.

    Hmm, I see.
    It's being moody.
I started it up again yesterday about 10 minutes later. Seemed to be running without stalling.

The only thing now it's just not accelerating like I thought it was...

MAF; these cars also have a IAC valve, if it fails it may produce symptoms like this. It may be cheaper for you to take it to Nissan for a quick diagnoses before you just start dumping money into the car

Well, it was out of commission until yesterday.
    Had this all replaced:

    - Distributor cap
    - leads, spark plugs, router
    - ECU
    - #3 Fuel injector.

I've dumped some to get it going again...

How much would you think a diagnosis cost from Nissan?

probably an hour of shop time. I would say around $100. Then at least you can stop guessing at what is wrong and hopefully get s definate answer from them

yep. i had a multi point check done at sunridge nissan for about 110. it's worth it. That was a while ago so just call them and see what they're currently charging. The Sunridge guys are gonna be pretty knowledgable on 240's. The guys that did my inspection apparently worked at autodream before starting there..

    Ah nice!
I'll look into the Sunridge dealership if I get around to calling them.
Thanks guys! If anyone else may have any idea of what could be going on. Do tell haha!

I have heard my car could be having MAF problems as well from other people.
