    Default Cheap accomodation in Calgary

I have some friends coming down from out East this summer, and they are looking for some decent accommodation as cheap as possible. I've never been to any hotels in Calgary because I live here haha, so does anyone know of a decent place that isn't very expensive? Somewhere in the South would be preferred. I'm going to be doing my own research but if someone knows of a good place that would be helpful.

    Thanks in advance.

In the far south there isn't a whole lot... Super 8 in Shawnessy, Wingate, Delta on Southland and the Deerfoot Casino.

Out of all of those, the Super 8 is the least expensive.

Thanks so far guys, the Delta south would be close to ideal but stampede week is ~$300/night there which is a little steep.

The "Coast Plaza" downtown seemed reasonable at $163/night

    Best Western Downtown is $194/night

Comfort INN on McLeod trail is $155/night

Econo Lodge South $155/night (but looks the worst)

Anyways I'm still looking but I think the above is about the best I'm going to find.

    Thanks.

Are they the classy type or don't mind roughing it a little?

There's Stetson by the Southland Canadian Tire, Superstore.

Or maybe start looking around for some bed and breadfast?

Travelodge is looking like the best so far. I'll check out the Stetson for them as well, thanks!

Its 3 girls so they will probably want a place that isn't too sketchy.

    Thanks.

How far south? If a bit further north isn't a problem, there's also Glenmore Inn, Blackfoot, Carriage House, Holiday Inn (by Avenida).

Calgary is so much like an iphone: iCalgary - There's a bylaw for that.
