Wow that F-car is absolutely mangled, I wonder what kind of collision he must have gotten in to have the car split in half.

360 Stradale. The breaks and the sideprofile of the bumper give it away.

I believe he slid and had a nice side impact with a lightpost or a tree.

That meathead is dead, his money isn't going to do him any good now is it?

No but that meathead decided to engage in street racing. Money or not, when you decide to double or triple the speed limit you forfeit your right to claim tragedy. People who knowingly engage in activities outside of their skill level and suspend public safety deserve to have whats coming to them happen.

You have no idea what I earn, or what I am capable of. You have no idea of what possible hedge fund I have waiting for me. Regardless of my fiscal means it does nothing to dimish my assement of his own stupidity.

I am irate that this fool died, I wish he survived so he could be made an example of, pay for his stupidity the rest of his life.

He made his decision, who are you to judge me for being rightly mad.

I had a friend die because of a drunk driver and excess speed, this is a very sore spot for me. And clearly money is for you.

I'll go on holding a vendetta against people without common sense, go on being insecure about the fact that you'll never earn enough money.

wat the hell are you even talking about. I would bet 90% of this site is guilty off excessive speed that could have killed anyone of us at the time. You included mr headgefund ... And who's claiming tradgedy? not me, I'm only saying you can't call the guy a meathead if you don't know him, I do know someone who worked close to him, and they thought very highly of him.

I was making a comparison. I dont for the record have a hedge fund.

Second. He was racing. He assumed the risk. One downside to going in excess of 100MPH is you will be seriously injured if you happen to collide with anything.

Just because he died, he shouldnt be absolved of the responsibility he has to his passenger, or other drivers.

If I speed, I assume this risk that the potential for disaster is exponentially related to my speed.

Obviously this 'meathead' had a god complex and thought his half million dollar ferrari would save other people, and ultimately himself from certain doom. It didnt. Enzo Ferrari didnt think so either.

If you play with fire, eventually you will get burned... you should know that being a DSM driver and all. :P

However callous it sounds, my point stands, you speed, you assume the consequences. Death is horrible, however his actions are no less reprehensible just because he is "somebody".

I would feel the same if he was just another moron with money, or in a camry for that matter.

    So is Paris Hilton

So the guy had business sense, it's clear he lacked sense of the common variety.
    In reference to Rob Anders:

Yup, and because of that deficiency, he was removed from the gene pool.

The thread title should actualy be "tapout founder kills ferrari"

I always drive properly. A bit fast, perhaps, but always with consummate skill and a natural feel for the road that even cops recognize. No cop was ever born who isn't a sucker for a finely-executed hi-speed Controlled Drift all the way around one of those cloverleaf freeway interchanges.
