Protest During Condoleezza Rice's Fundraiser at University of Calgary

I have started a group on facebook to organize people to protest during Condoleezza Rice's speech at University of Calgary. If you hate Condoleezza Rice, I encourage you to join this facebook group and attend the event. She is arriving on May 13th for a dinner fundraiser at University of Calgary. Journalists/Media will be present.

What precisely are you protesting?

To be honest:

we need to raise awareness of her evil campaign in the past

Makes it hard to take you seriously. It's so easy to be dismissive of protesters when they aren't articulate, intelligent or mature in presenting their viewpoints (not saying you specifically, but just in general).

I understand what you are saying. I am just very busy right now, I read in the newspaper this morning about her arrival and wanted to get this thing started. Its not very well organized and thought of, as of right now. But I assure you that my point of view will be presented at my highest capability.

There are many issues that can be addressed, such as:
Spread of NATO into Eastern Europe
Invasion of Iraq under the false advertisement that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction
Kosovo Independence

The second one - sure.

The first & third, those are pretty POV. Which I'm assuming stems from your ethnicity. I'd scratch those off your list, while they may be priority for you, those views won't be as widely shared as #2. They'll be potentially divisive or unimportant among people that agree with #2, which is generally universal.

Anyways, good luck. I really don't have a side on the matter, but I cringe when I see protesters jumping around in monkey suits wearing George Bush masks, or just aimlessly protesting things for the sake of doing so to be outraged and then wonder why no one listens to them or takes them seriously

I am not trying to change anything. Why is she coming to Calgary to give a speech at University of Calgary anyways? I will tell you why, to spread the American propaganda and to gain support. She will probably discuss the war in Afghanistan. Why is Canada in Afghanistan anyways? Afghanistan never attacked Canada, Afghanistan is no threat to Canada. Canada is just creating enemies by supporting Americans.
I, and many others, will be there to destroy her creditability that night.
