Default Best place to get fitted for a bicycle?

Anybody have suggestions for a good store (and possibly good reps) to fit someone for a bike?

I've never had a road/commuter bicycle, and I'm looking at getting one this spring. I've been told time and time again that the most critical factor in selecting a bike is fit, so I want to get it right (i.e., someone that wont hesitate to tell me that the bicycle I might want is all wrong).

I've heard good stories and bad stories about the various places around town.

If anyone can offer advice or namedrop, please go ahead.

Go to BOW CYCLE and find KURT. He is awesome. Anyone in BOW is awesome. But go sooner than later, that place gets real busy starting April.

The one in Kensington is also real good, Ridley.

Bought Bikes in both shops and the experience has been awesome.

Pedalhead and Bow Cycle were the only shops I went to in town that really cared to make sure it was adjusted for fit when I tested out bikes...and I shopped around to a lot of places.

X2, Pedalhead is the only place I go and IMO the best. Excellent staff.
